Empty Nest Syndrome | Dealing with the Good & Bad

We now are in the thick of the Empty Nest Syndrome and we share how we are dealing with the good and bad, sorrow and even happiness of having all our kids leave home. The last child of our 4 moved out about 2 years ago and it wasn't too bad until a major holiday came around and none of the 4 children were close enough to visit us. Everyone had a 5+ hour drive and other commitments. That really hit home and for the first time true loneliness and sadness set in. We hope that sharing our story and some of the feelings we had help other parents who are going through and dealing with the empty nest after the kids go to University, College or a job that could be around the corner or even in another country. - Heather
