Duo On Sport Bike Takes VSP On High Speed Chase Through Virginia Beach

On 05/25/2024 a Virginia State Trooper attempted to stop a motorcycle driven by 18-year-old Richard Silva of Virginia Beach for reckless driving. Silva and his passenger fled the traffic at a high rate of speed and lead troopers on a pursuit for several miles. The pursuit ultimately ended when Silva came to the dead end of Southern Blvd near N Gum Ave. A felony takedown was conducted and Silva was taken into custody. Silva was arrested and transported to Virginia Beach lock up where he was lodged. Silva was charged with fleeing a police officer amongst other charges.
