Michel Cardin & Risa Kawabata : Sarabande en Rondeau by R.deVisée

Risa Kawabata and Michel Cardin in concert, Tokyo Art Museum, September 2017. This Sarabande en Rondeau by Robert de Visée is included in the section for melodic instrument with continuo, in his book published in 1682. It was common use for the performers of the Renaissance and Baroque to add variations of their own in appropriate pieces like this one. The variations here are by Tim Blackmore for the recorder and Michel Cardin for the theorbo.
