Tories Keep Shooting Themselves in the Foot

In the latter stages of the Tory leadership contest, MPs seem intent on eliminating the candidates who would be most likely to take Labour on in a general election. They've also created an uncessary civil war over the clearly unjustified withdrawal of the whip from a senior backbencher. And, to cap it all, they are going to give Labour more material for their campaign by agreeing to another TV debate next week.
