Hello!
I have been quite occupied all day with friends. SO nice to see them again and just chat and pass time together. I actually had this vlog finished and uploaded early morning- but I've been out of the house a great chunk of the day and also night, so here i am.
It is christmas day for many of you- so Merry Christmas to you if you are reading this! (i mean, of course you are reading this.)
It's odd because I literally do not care that much for christmas this year, I didn't realize it was christmas eve today, and I've been forgetting to say little things like happy holidays or merry christmas to strangers (for example, when you leave a store or restaurant)..
This is the most un-materialistic i've been in my life, so not really looking forward to gift opening has to be a big reason why my feelings of christmas changed.
But it is beautiful that what remains afterwards is more meaningful, for the better even. Because people are able to get time off work (for the holidays), we are allowed to all come together and spend some quality time just doing random stuff.
Tomorrow, I'll actually be going over to an old family friends house for christmas dinner, which will be odd because we haven't gone out for christmas in several years, either.
I want to do my best to look really nice and wear the heels and sparkly shirt I brought for this occasion!
If you don't celebrate holidays or if you do, I hope that you can end the day thinking about what matters most to you after the hustle and bustle of life and its stresses is over. is it people? your loving pets? a place, you may call home or a new place that you can explore? I love to try to live each day to its best, although some days it takes a tremendous amount of effort compared to others.
Nonetheless, I am so grateful that you spent part of your day to stop by here- I am incredibly lucky to have our community here.
Another Christmas, another year...
