Mt Earnslaw Climb, New Zealand

A climb of Mt Earnslaw, New Zealand in September 2015. This 4 day trip started in the Rees Valley, climbing up to Kea Basin and the comfortable Rock Bivvy there. The next day we climbed up to Esquilant Bivvy on Wright Col at 2200m. Summit day climbed up to the summit at 2819m and back down to Esquilant and then down to Earnslaw Hut at 1050m. A night of celebration, fire and full moon followed before the final day down to the valley and out to the car at the road end. Awesome weather and great conditions made for a fantastic trip up this classic NZ peak.
