Making Tilta Seamless Lens Rings Fit Big Lenses

I really like Tilta's seamless lens focusing rings for adding follow focus gears to my still lenses. In fact, even when I'm shooting stills, the rings add a real nice added tactile indication for when I'm holding the focus ring or not. However, Tilta only makes the rings with a maximum circumference of 90 mm. Unfortunately, my RF 100-400 is 95, and my RF 28-70mm f/2L is even bigger.

The good news is that they are made from a material that's compatible with Cyanoacrylate glues (also called super glue, crazy glue, or just CA). So lets look at how to cut, fit, and rebuilt a couple of small Tilta focus gear rings into one that fits these big lenses.
