Donkey Kong Suite | The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Original Soundtrack) by Brian Tyler

Donkey Kong's musical identity is shaped by tribal percussion and ancient woodwinds, which makes sense given his roots as the heir to a jungle kingdom. There are also chants shouting his name during the arena fight, working to enhance his power and ego in that battle. Alongside the new musical flourishes Tyler uses, he reprises David Wise's Donkey Kong Country scores subtlety throughout the score, and adapts it beautifully in a track embracing the original score and playing it in all the grandeur and flare it deserves.
