The song “Let’s Dance” was written and produced by Jim Lee, and originally performed by Chris Montez. The Ramones’ version was released in 1976 on their debut album Ramones. They take the catchy melody of Montez's version and give it their signature punk treatment… fast-paced, raw, and full of classic Ramones energy. They keep the spirit of the original, but strip away the smoothness and add a lot more grit.

🧸Brown Bear has always had a special place in his heart for Ramones' version of "Let's Dance." It takes him back to the unforgettable moment when he first met Rose the Rabbit. Both were nervous, unsure of what the night would bring, but that song was the beginning of something magical. With its upbeat rhythm and infectious energy, Brown Bear put on the record to convince her to break free of her gentle bunny ways and embrace the untamed freedom of the dance floor. (…Just like Mom and Dad Hawkbird did on their wedding night to “Let’s Dance”! *Posted on Instagram) Once he got her moving, there was no stopping them. Now, perched together on the shelf, they fondly reminisce about those electrifying, carefree moments they shared… young animals in love, reveling in the fun, the freedom, and the joy of their first dance. 🧸❤️🐇

This song, was recorded on April 6, 2025, in our basement studio on 6 separate tracks, using a Zoom H6 audio interface, which was then mixed in GarageBand:
1. Vocals (Audix OM5 Hypercardioid Dynamic Microphones)
2. Lead guitar (Gibson Les Paul Studio)
3. Bass guitar (Ibanez miKro)
4. Bass drum (Ludwig Neusonic 22” Bass Drum)
5. Toms/snare (Ludwig 13" Tom, 16" Floor Tom, and 14” Snare)
6. Cymbals (Zildjian A Custom Cymbals)
*The drums were recorded using an overhead stereo pair of sE Electronics sE8 condenser microphones, complemented by an Audix D6 cardioid dynamic microphone for the kick drum.
To ensure a precise balance and bring out the nuances of each instrument, we relied on Sennheiser HD-660S2 headphones paired with an AudioEngine DAC3 amplifier during the mixing process. Given the small size of our studio and the inherent challenge of the drums' volume, we are continually working to achieve the best possible sound.
