Unlike rigid grinding discs, flexible sanding belts distribute pressure more evenly over the metal surface. Belt systems operating around 15–25 m/s reduce localized heat buildup, which helps prevent discoloration and surface distortion on thinner stainless sheets.
The process appears repetitive from a distance, yet consistency in industrial finishing usually depends on small mechanical adjustments repeated with very little variation over hundreds of identical components.
