This is episode 16 of our epic road trip around Japan. In this video we stroll around Kurokawa Onsen and visit an outdoor onsen for a lovely soak with a view. Bathing outdoors is so relaxing.

We feel our first earthquake which shouldn't have been surprising considering there is an active volcano a few kilometres away.

In the evening we eat at Naka. A small izakaya in Kurokawa Onsen. There we had typically delicious and filling izakaya style meal but this one included the local specialty, basashi - horse meat sashimi. Yum!

Next time we visit the amazing city of Nagasaki, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy Episode 16 of our family road trip across Japan.
