How To Remove Summertime Stains - A Dry Cleaners Guide #laundry #stains

This is a dry cleaner’s guide for summer time stains. In this video I’m going to cover sunscreen, sweat stains (this will work for most old yellow stains too), berries / fruit, along with rose, wine and acidic drinks:

1) Sunscreen is usually a rust stain that requires a rust stain remover. Carbona is the only one I’m familiar with
2) Sweat and old oxidized yellow stains (this is the same reaction that causes an apple / avocado to brown once cut into and exposed to air) requires oxygen bleach. Most common types are hydrogen peroxide and powdered oxygen bleach (like OxiClean). Do NOT dry a garment treated with HP outside, the UV will cause yellowing
3) Berries / fruit need enzymes to break them down. Use an enzymatic stain remover. The one I showed off in this video is Puracy
4) Rose / wine is acidic and calls for an acid to remove it from garments. Soak it in some cleaning vinegar, cooking vinegar which is 5% will work too, and wash after. If the color isn’t out treat with oxygen bleach
