The was one of the original compositions of Geoff Bodenham, this song was written circa 1975 when Geoff Bodenham was living in one of the cottages behind the Grecian temple in Chillington Wood, near Chillington Hall in Brewood. This was when the M54 motorway was constructed, part of which ran only 200ft from the windows of the cottage. Geoff saw the original old growth forest get torn down and the motorway paving over the remains which inspired him to write this song.
