The male driver of a silver sedan lost control and slammed into the back of the family in the black sedan. The male driver was in CPR status and is believed to have passed. A teen female had to be cut out of the black sedan and has major injuries. Other family members were transported to Sharp Chula Vista with minor injuries. The major injuries were taken to UCSD Hospital. Traffic was blocked at this intersection for over 90 minutes.
