What NOT TO DO After Crashing On The Freeway / Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES CA - A single vehicle crash on the freeway almost turned into more than that due to the actions of the people involved. If you are involved in a crash on a freeway and your car is drivable, exit the freeway if you can. If the car is not drivable, and able, safely exit your vehicle and get to the shoulder. Stay on the shoulder parallel with your vehicle. If the car is in a unsafe spot and you can't get out to a safe spot, CALL 911 and STAY on the phone until HELP arrives. You might be safer to exit the vehicle and stand in front of it (not directly) using the vehicle as a blocker all while watching and making sure traffic doesn't hit you or the car.

DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR AND CONTINUALLY CROSS A MOVING FREEWAY.  NEVER STAND BEHIND YOUR CAR WITH TRAFFIC COMING AT YOU!
