How to fix character floating above the ground when using NavMesh in Unity 3D

When using NavMash the NavMesh Agent (the character you want to move around) is constrained to the NavMesh. The NavMesh is an approximation of the walking space and mostly floats above the ground.
This is even more severe when having stairs.

In this video, I'll show you how to fix this problem by creating a HeightMesh which perfectly fits the ground.
