Per Host Film, 'Chasing the Midnight Sun', 1955, A Travelogue Journey to the Artic Via Norway, F517

The Norwegian Zoologist, 'Per Host' (b1907 - d1971) was part of a well connected family in Norway. He developed a film making career in which he produced many documentaries of note. 'Hva turister aldri ser' from 1934 was his first film, about the Arctic fox. In the 1950s he had success with documentary films like 'Gjensyn med jungelfolket' (1950, about the Chocó people of Panama). He produced television documentaries for both the British Broadcasting Corporation and Norwegian Television. This is rare footage of a documentary about a trip from Southern Norway up to the Artic circle which dates to 1955.
