DIY Concrete Floor: Foundations 1/3

When we bought the farmhouse, it came with barns previously used for storing livestock. Having no livestock, and needing space to put all the machinery and tools required for restoring the house, we turned it into a workshop.

Unfortunately the original concrete floor was very thin, totally wonky and had no hard core underneath. So we had to dig out and fill back in to create the level surface needed.

We split it into 2x3 pads as we wanted to save money on ready mixes. This is us digging out 1 row of 3. We had to split it in half so we had covered space to store the tools.

We haven't done the other 3 pads yet, but when we do I'll show the finished floor.

Make sure to subscribe for more parts!
