Ly murder trial: Did Ontario man who decapitated his mother intend on killing her? Defence says no

The defence and the Crown have given their closing addresses in the Dallas Ly murder trial. Ly is the Toronto man accused of murdering his own mother after, what he claims, was a says was a physical fight with her.
The defence Thursday was shown pictures of what they say show scars from wounds inflicted upon Dallas by his mother, throughout his life.
“The Crown has not proven an intentional homicide. In fact, we'd ask you to go a step further and accept Mr. Ly's testimony that this homicide occurred in a moment of overwhelming fear,” defence lawyer Jessyca Greenwood said.
Now, as Catherine McDonald reports, the jury must decide if he actually intended to killer her, starting next Tuesday.
