Tesla Teases Semi's Production Interior With Major Changes and Updates

Tesla Semi has a new updated webpage with some major changes in the interior. Tesla teased this new video.

In the earlier version of the Tesla Semi's interior, it featured lots of elements from Tesla Model 3. Well, back then the Model 3 was Tesla's main mass-market vehicle.

Now, according to the new changes, visible from the new Tesla Semi's teased video the Semi production interior will feature some elements that seem to have been taken from both the new Model S and Model X and the Model 3 and Model Y. What remained from the original prototypes, however, was the Semi’s center driving position, which provides drivers with a commanding view of the road.

The new and changed steering wheel of the Tesla Semi seems to be inspired from the Model S and Model X. It now features several buttons for functions like the turn signals and the horn. It looks like they are touch buttons.

Simon Alvarez from Teslarati, also finds interesting the apparent lack of stalks in the steering column, so changing gears and accessing features like the wipers would likely require a small learning curve. "The Semi also seems poised to be equipped with dual phone chargers, which would likely be appreciated as drivers would be able to charge their phone and possibly a spare battery pack at the same time," Alvarez notes.

I hope the new Tesla Semi really nears production any time soon.
