Nanateya Cosmic Music, "Pastoral"
This experimental MusicMadeVisible video consists of two excerpts from a longer video created for Nanateya, a founder and inspirer of the Wave Art Center in Moscow and author of The Crystal Sounds of the Universe Project.
Nanateya is a gifted and inspirational vocalist whose songs uplift the spirits of all who hear her perform. Her mission is to help spiritually awaken humanity, uplifting the minds and hearts of all who experience her music.
The music piece is titled "Pastoral" and it begins with the clear bell-like chime of a quartz crystal bowl, made visible in the centre
of the field by the CymaScope's high frequency module. As the track progresses the pulsating sound of the bowl initially dominates the soundscape and the resulting organic-like imagery is seen in both the central and surrounding cymascopic fields. When the richly resonant tones of Nanateya's vocals are introduced they are made visible mainly in the outer field, created on the CymaScope's medium frequency module.
The second short excerpt of the piece follows a one second silence, and in the closing moments the MusicMadeVisible imagery is seen receding into the Cosmos.
The cosmic background imagery is an outstanding deep-field Hubble Telescope photograph, courtesy of NASA.
Post production CymaScope lab editing by James Reid
