Ipad 2 (3G) disassembly without breaking front glass digitizer A1396
I made this video just to show you how to open the Ipad 2 without breaking the front glass digitizer (touch screen) and without breaking other parts.
Other critical parts under the glass are sticked to the adhesive tape on the glass and when you are not carefull, you will tear them with the glass and break them.
The parts you need to take care about are:
1) The wifi module, when this one breaks you need to replace it otherwise you do not have wifi signal. Located at the bottom on the right.
2) The power/volume/mute flex cable which can break at 2 locations. It's not nice to replace this cable because it costs a lot of concentration. Those are located at the upper right of the ipad 2.
3) The 3G antenna's at the top of the ipad
4) The digitizer's left part, if you break anything on the digitizers left part, the digitizer will not work very well.
5) The digitizer's cable, if it breaks, the digitizer won't work.
So there are totally 7 critical parts which can break, at the end of the video I will take a closer look at those parts. The parts which break the most easy, are the Wifi module and the power/volume/mute flex cable at the side of the power button.
For ipad's with only Wifi, you don't have to take care about the 3G antenna's at the top, because they are not there. The video also applies on the model A1395 and A1397 because it shows all the critical parts.
Again, I will not talk during the video, hopefully the video speaks for itself.
Give me a thumb up when you like the video ;-)
