How to remove PS3 CPU heatspreader (IHS) with minimum risk (our best way)

PS3 model : CECHC04 , I also made a video of removing the IHS from CPU of a CECHG04 model.

The heatspreader (IHS) of the CPU has been glued to the CPU with silicone. Heating up the CPU IHS does not make any difference (tried that couple of times) and also trying to dissolve the silicone takes too long (the gap of 0.25mm is too narrow).
The only way to quickly remove the IHS from the PS3 CPU is to cut in between the CPU and IHS. But there are risks, the risks are:

- you can cut into the CPU and cut through the critical parts of the CPU which is (almost) impossible to repair, and because the CPU is married to the mobo, it is hard to replace. Only use tools which has been made sharp on both sides, so that the cutting parts exactly cuts in between the silicone which will not touch the cpu. (always use the tools at your own risk)
- when your tool with which you begin is too thick, the CPU solder connection underneath the CPU can break because you can bend the CPU. The risks are getting bigger with newer ps3 models, because the thickness of the silicone is thinner. I prefer not to use my last tool (0.7mm thickness) on ps3 slim models or later models.

The tools I use have a thickness of 0.25mm (razorblade) , 0.55mm (IHS buster) and 0.7mm (our own tool). Sometimes when there is thermal paste left in between the IHS and CPU, it is easier and I needed less force. Maybe I do a test next time.

I have seen video's where people use a razorblade to remove the IHS from the GPU, do not do that. I will make more video's on how to do that on ps3 fat models and early ps3 slim models. With later ps3 slim models Sony glued the IHS to the GPU in a different way. From my experience it is always handy to heat up the IHS on GPU's up to 150 degrees Celcius. It makes it a lot more easier.
