Samsung Galaxy One UI | Hiding Status Bar Icons with the QuickStar Good Lock Module

After installing the QuickStar module on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet, you can hide just about any status bar icon you want.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S23 here and in todays video I want to show you how to hide Status Bar Icons on this device as well as older Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets running the stock One UI firmware.

This includes the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S22 series, the company's Galaxy Tab tablets, and many of their mid-range Galaxy A and Galaxy M devices as well.

This process should work on your Samsung device as long as you can install QuickStar module within the Good Lock application.

For those who are unaware, Good Lock is a customization application from Samsung themselves and it can be found in the company's own Galaxy Store. If you need help with installing Good Lock then be sure to check the video description below. I have a video showing how to install the official app and another video that helps people who are unable to find it due to region restrictions.

Once you have the Good Lock application installed, open it up and then scroll through the list of modules until you find the QuickStar module.

Tap the down arrow icon to begin installing it.
Once installed, you should find it at the top of the list here.

Now we just need to tap on it from the Good Lock application to access the features it offers.

From here, look for the Visibility of Indicator Icons.
And you should begin to see Status Bar icons that you're familiar with.

If you always keep your phone on vibrate or silent mode then you don't need the status bar icon to remind you of that.
You know the device will always be on vibrate.

So with the QuickStar module, we can disable this Status Bar icon from being visible by tapping the toggle next to it in this list.

Many people don't need to be reminded that they have NFC enabled. . .or that they have Airplane Mode enabled.
So again, we can go through this list and disable the icons that we don't need to see in the Status Bar of our Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

You can always come back here to enable them again if you decide later on that you miss seeing them.
But this module is a great way to customize your Status Bar so that it only shows icons that you need to see.

As a minimalist, I really enjoy customization options like this and have only ever seen this type of feature offered in custom ROMs in the past.
Samsung has done a lot of great work improving One UI over the years and the Quick Star module adds some great customization features.

Good Lock offers a ton of features for Samsung Galaxy devices and I encourage you to check out the modules offered within it.
