Is Scoot Henderson Too Good For The Portland Trail Blazers To Pass Up?

I'm seeing a lot of YouTube videos from Portland Trail Blazers. Commentators, Pundents, and Podcasters asking who they should take with the third over pick in the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft. Brandon Miller who is a better fit or Scoot Henderson who doesn’t really fit, but might be a better player.

The problem with this narrative is that Portland is drafting third and The Charlotte Hornets are drafting second.

The Hornets are in a similar situation Miller is the better fit, but they might view Henderson as the better player. They could really take either Brandon Miller or Scoot Henderson. Leaving the other player for The Blazers to draft.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of trade buzz for Miller. There seems to be a fair amount for Henderson from both Portland and around the NBA.

The question that we should be asking is if Scoot Henderson is still on the board at 3. Is he too good for Portland to pass on him? Do they pick a player who isn’t as highly rated? The perception is that after Miller & Henderson, there’s a drop in expectations. Do they trade for an All-Star Veteran? Do they trade down in the draft? or some combination of the two?
