Gigafactory Texas on 15 January 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Another busy and good day to fly at Giga Texas (although the winds were starting to pick up and later today will be gale force!). There was a lot of activity and some of it new which is great to see as it signals some change of phase of construction. We are seeing what I believe to be utility trenches in the center of the foundation running to the stamping machine building in the south, more earthwork and grade levelling in the north by the old batch plant, foundation work in the stamping machine and big steel structure first floors!
Finally, I am just about to be able to say with certainty that there will only be 8 Casting machines based on today’s footage and this means it is the same size and similar configuration to Giga Berlin.

Here are highlights of the early morning today:
- The west cargo loading dock construction has lengthened noticeably in the south direction as have more footings, which now reach to within about 150 yards from the south exterior wall. This is a significant expansion of footings on this side!
- There is a new utility trench that leads from the north part of the stamping machine concrete building to the midpoint of the main foundation
- In the concrete building, they are constructing large foundation segments, some are die movement areas, one very large rectangular area looks to be a reinforced area for heavy loads, a long linear concrete wall base or grade in the trench on the west interior side, and a smaller, but heavily reinforced foundation just south of the small isolation pit
- The concrete building itself has all columns now installed, all but one roof beam and they are preparing to extend the roof "double-T" panel installation further east and north.
- The new (third) steel structure has grown significantly in the past 48 hours, now 2 tall stories and much larger overall, all growing in the south direction
- The main steel structure/paint shop now has a area in the south part that is one very tall story or bay ... this makes for a very tall interior area
- The west steel structure continues to grow and now has a good amount of floor paneling installed on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The eastward expansion is gaining a second very tall floor (it appears from the columns being installed at the time of recording)
- The casting machine area has three well defined foundations and subframes and the rebar is expanding to mimic the same large rectangular shape and size as seen in Giga Berlin ... it is also very apparent from the design now that there will be 2 rows of 4 casting machines, for a total of 8, just like Giga Berlin
- Up at the north, more electronic components, machinery and Evapco cooling tower parts were being delivered this morning
