Korf believes that every person has both the right and the freedom to define themselves online and IRL (in real life) regardless of how they have been defined by others or how they have been defined in the past. She believes that it is the responsibility of educators, parents, and all other adults to guide children toward positive and authentic self-representation in online spaces.

Korf has a master of arts degree from the College of Saint Mary and a master of education degree from Midland University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
