Khoreshe Bamiyeh (Persian Okra Casserole)

This video features the steps to make the Persian classic Khoreshe Bamiyeh (Okra Stew), except we're making it easier! Tasty beef/lamb stew meat, onions and okra are sauteed separately, then oven-baked in layers (with tomato slices) in a casserole dish. One of my favorite meals, this is the re-creation of a classic childhood favorite for easier cooking in the oven as a casserole. Enjoy with Persian saffron rice or your favorite starch!
