Quick Look: Equalizing lead acid batteries & desulfating with MgSO4

A look at combining Magnesium Sulfate and "forced overcharge" (equalization) to desulfate 12 volt lead acid batteries such as car batteries.

I quickly go over the process and explain some of the theory behind desulfation via MgSO4 (magnesium sulfate) and Na2SO4 (sodium sulfate). The YIHUA YH-605D power supply is used for the battery charging.

Full writeup can be found at http://mattgadient.com/2014/04/06/desulfating-a-lead-acid-battery-with-the-yihua-605d-and-magnesium-sulfate/

As mentioned in the video, please wear face protection & exercise caution when working with lead acid batteries. They can explode!
