My cage diving experience at Guadalupe Island August 29th to September 3rd.

Huge thanks to the crew at Horizon Charters and to Power Scuba for making this amazing trip possible. We headed to Isla Guadalupe, a volcanic island 180 miles off the coast of Mexico to go cage diving with white sharks. After being in the water with these beautiful animals, you can see that they ARE NOT the killing machines that Hollywood and the media portray them as. I have a newfound respect for white sharks. They are spectacular creatures who should be respected for the apex predators they are. I have learned a lot about white sharks on this trip, from behavior to identifying individual sharks. I believe by properly educating people on sharks and shark behavior we will overcome the fear of sharks and will begin to respect and save the sharks. As well as seeing tons of individual sharks, I also met tons of great friends!
