Zebra Escapes Death with the Help of Wildlife Rangers

A common, or plains zebra, is caught in a poacher's snare and released with the help of wildlife rangers in Kenya.

Poaching and hunting represents a significant threat to plains game throughout the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems. Zebra are killed for meat and their distinctive skins. Similar to wildebeest, plains zebra travel in the thousands across the East African plains in the search for food and water, exposing them to the threat of snares laid out by poachers across the range.
