The Smart City concept is increasingly becoming central to the discourse around Africa's urban future. At Smart City Expo World Congress 2019, Angola made it clear that connectivity and transport are key areas in which to take effective action.

"This is our first time. The first time Angola attends this conference. We think it is important for two things: first to show the world what Angola is doing towards smart cities, and second, to
establish a network with the major players of smart cities. The more we give people the opportunity to learn and understand what a smart city is, the more we can come up with innovative ideas, with technological ideas.
