Miguel Gamiño: "SCEWC is an important in-person part of City Possible's conversation"

Mastercard has been working on the inclusion story for more than a decade.

During Smart City Expo, the company highlighted that the pandemic is teaching us that we need to be prioritizing digital infrastructure and digital equity as financial inclusion and digital inclusion are fundamental to continuing life as we knew it.

"I think post-pandemic that cities need to prioritize collaboration and partnership because the challenges are severe.

City Possible at its core is a community. And that community is designed to create conversations and to create relationships and collaboration that drive these inclusive solutions.

The Congress is an important in-person part of that and last year we missed it. Last year, all of us, coming back in person, we've seen people, we've seen the energy. So it is a reminder that those things are also super important."
