with your eyes that set hooks into my soul,
magician trick hands, magician trick laugh,
crescent moon heart, playing hide and seek
all year long, belonging to nothing and everything
else in between, you walk with secrets so loud
dripping over your shoulders like a honey-gold
sunrise, your secrets like a second skin
or a second shadow
moonflower girl, moonflower girl,
with your marigold smile, your thunderstruck heart,
you are a spilling rain-kissed sky, you are an untouched
oozing soliloquy, a midnight sonorous symphony,
a lunar eclipsed tragedy, let me be your bass thumping
melody, let me be your guitar string harmony,
don't be a one-night blooming grandiosity,
a half-remembered epiphany, a glimpse into sweet infinity,
let me be your happily ever after serendipity,
