Capturing the BEAUTY of the Milky Way in the Columbia River Gorge

Join me for a night of astrophotography at Stonehenge — in Washington State, not the UK! In this vlog, I walk you through how I captured a 4-minute long exposure of the Milky Way using a star tracker, Sony camera gear, and some post-processing in Photoshop.

We’ll explore the area around The Dalles and Goldendale along the Columbia River Gorge, and I’ll show you how I approach composition, camera settings, and stacking/star tracking to get clean, detailed shots of the night sky.
