This video is about how perfectionism prevents you from reaching your goals and living a happy life.

Perfectionism leads to:
- People being workaholics
- Self-criticism
- Criticism of others (superiority syndrome)
- Self-destructive behavior

This video goes over the root cause of perfectionism and some steps to overcome it.

The roots of perfectionism typically come about because as children we were told we were stupid or inadequate.

To change we must:

1) Admit and own it
2) Realize it is an incorrect perspective of how life works
3) Stop seeking so much approval from others

Tips to change:

1) Try a support group
2) Watch YouTube videos regularly to keep change in-sight-in-mind and to get additional tips and perspective

4) Catch yourself, interrupt the behavior, replace it with positive behavior
5) Shoot for 90% quality instead of 100% on things you do
