They LEFT THE CITY to Homestead & Live the YURT LIFE

We had the opportunity to visit a family who relocated from the city to a beautiful piece of property in the Keweenaw in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. They started a new homestead from scratch, including building a yurt home, getting chickens and goats and pigs, growing a large garden, and learning about the wild foods available to forage. We had a great time hanging out and hearing from them about living the yurt life, building a permaculture homestead, their experiences with homeschooling, and what it’s like to live in a remote location near the shores of Lake Superior.
