Grime star Lady Leshurr mentors the Got What It Takes? contestants for this year’s rap challenge. Leo and Charlie judge the contest and announce the results.

Got What It Takes? is a CBBC talent show where eight young singers compete to win the chance to perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Keep up with the contestant’s progress on Got What It Takes? each Wednesday at 5:50pm on CBBC.

Bars and Melody are Leondre Devries and Charlie Lenehan, a rapping and singing duo who were Britain's Got Talent 2014 finalists.

After the show, Bars and Melody were signed by Simon Cowell. Their début, anti-bullying single Hopeful came out in July 2014.

Leo and Charlie have since released further singles, their début album 143 and their Teen Spirit EP, have toured extensively across the world; and have a huge fandom, not only in the UK, but also, especially, in Germany, Poland and in Japan, where they have made two albums with Avex, one of Japan’s largest record labels.

Bars and Melody’s latest album Generation Z came out September 2017. They are currently working on their next album due to be released next year.
