How to change a water pump / timing belt change guide - n70 1kd kun26r Hilux

Gday and welcome to foord offroad
In this video I show how to replace the water pump, timing belt and thermostat on a 1kd engine in a n70 Hilux
This procedure is the exact same if you have a Toyota Prado fitted with this engine
Make sure not to use any silicone on the new water pump gasket as it will fail
Use only aviation sealant as shown in the video unless you have a new metal gasket then so sealant is required
The air bleed in the thermostat must always face upwards when installed
The timing belt is a major component and if it is done wrong your engine WILL break, if you aren’t confident in this then tale your car to a mechanic, it’s always good to turn the engine over by hand before starting it to make sure it’s in the right spot
DONT SNAP THE BOLTS
