Outdoor VLOG 74: No Foolin'! An Epic Winter Day of XC Skiing at Carson Pass on Easter Sunday

Yowza! The snow and scenery was absolutely amazing at Carson Pass (Winnemucca Lake) on March 31, 2024. Not a bad way to close out the last day of the month. And for those of you who are keeping count, this xc ski session was my 96th of the 2023-24 season. So, by this coming weekend I should be able to log the 100th :)

This video is mostly a virtual tour of backcountry xc skiing to Winnemucca Lake, which is a couple miles south of Carson Pass. It's a traditional route for xc skiing, snowshoeing, alpine touring, and backcountry snowboarding. And for good reason! The views are absolutely amazing :)

The backcountry xc skis that I used in this video were the Fischer S-Bound 98mm with Rottefella Super Tele 3-pin bindings. And I was wearing Alpina Alaska 75mm boots.
