North Korea Warns of ‘First Nuclear War’ After South Korean Bombing Mishap Near DMZ
Kim Jong Un’s regime issued a scathing statement through state media KCNA, criticizing the ongoing Freedom Edge 25 drills as “dangerous” provocations that could escalate into nuclear conflict. Officials in Seoul apologized for the mishap, noting it occurred after one of the KF-16 pilots reportedly entered incorrect strike coordinates. Nonetheless, the joint maneuvers are set to continue until March 20, albeit without further live-fire training for now. Adding to the combustible atmosphere, North Korea launched ballistic missiles following the expanded U.S.–South Korean exercises. Meanwhile, Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff have reemphasized the threats derived from Russia–North Korea military cooperation and pledged to adjust exercise scenarios accordingly. #shorts
