U.S. Air Force Trains C-17 Crews for Astronaut Recovery Missions as Spaceflights Surge

The U.S. Air Force is preparing for a surge in American human spaceflight by training its C-17 Globemaster crews to conduct astronaut recovery at sea. The 315th Airlift Wing tested new airdrop and search techniques at Patrick Space Force Base, part of a wider effort to revive Human Space Flight Support (HSFS) for missions by NASA, SpaceX, Boeing, and others aiming for Earth-orbit, lunar, and eventually Martian endeavors. #shorts
