First Organ Donation in India in 2021 from Surat through Donate Life.

We salute the family members of Late Vishnubhai Prahladbhai Patel for their brave decision to donate the vital organs of their beloved one after doctors declared him brain dead.

In the beginning of the New Year 2021 this was the first cadaver donation in India were heart, lungs, kidney, liver, cornea were donated from Mahavir Trauma hospital Surat through Donate Life.

This was 31st Heart, 12th Lungs, 375th Kidney and 153rd Liver Donation from Surat through Donate Life.

Heart and Lungs transplantation was done at MGM and Apollo hospital Chennai.

Liver transplantation was done at IKDRC Ahmedabad.

Corneas were donated to Lok Drashti Chakshu Bank.

We are very much thankful to Doctors and Management of Mahavir Troma hospital for their wholehearted support to this noble cause.

We are also thankful to NOTTO, SOTTO Gujarat, ROTTO Tamilnadu, IKDRC Ahmedabad, MGM and Apollo Hospital Chennai, Surat City Police, Surat Municipal Corporation, Surat Collector, Surat Airport Authority, Print & Electronic Media and Volunteers of Donate Life for their wholehearted support in this life saving mission.
