1,067 earthquakes were recorded worldwide in the past 24 hours, including a strong M6.0 southeast of Kirakira in the Solomon Islands. A M5.7 struck in the Bismarck Sea and a M5.6 occurred in the Balleny Islands region. We have separate coverage on the major events already on the page.

Magnitude 4 activity remained widespread across Japan, Indonesia, Fiji, Central America, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina, with a notable M4.1 reported in Slovakia.
