It has been 297 days since Lidia had a Hemorrhagic Stroke in the deep parts of the left side of her brain. It is officially called a Basal Ganglia Intracerebral Hemorrhagic Stroke.
Looking back, 10 months seems to have gone by really fast. Maybe it was COVID. Maybe it has been because I've been working from home being Lidia's primary caregiver. Time flies. This video show Lidia's progress over the past 10 months with her walking. From the first time that Lidia stood up on day 5 while in acute care at the University of Utah Hospital to now when she walks up and down the sidewalk unassisted. She's worked so hard to get this far. We know that we have a while to go and she is determined to do it.
Lidia is a stroke survivor. She's worked hard to get here. We've used different tools and techniques to get here where she is at, not to mention a lot of physical therapy. We have different AFO braces, we have a drop foot brace or a foot drop brace, we've purchase and work with adult tricycles, we have a treadmill with a safety harness. We've built a specific room in the house for her to do her rehab. Her recovery success, even though slow, is all due to the hard work she has put in.
We hope that you enjoy the video. Please feel free to support Lidia in her recovery by giving us a big thumbs up, sharing, and subscribing.
