Written By Peter Tork & Joey Richards. From The Monkees LP, "Headquarters". "For Pete's Sake" was also used in an edited for as the 2nd season closing theme.
What could easily have been released as a Top 10 single, in the US, no single was released from their 3rd platter.

The title came from Tork's indecision in a choice when Nesmith exclaimed, "Oh, for Pete's Sake"! The song has garnered much love from fans without chart status!

Recorded March 23rd & 24th at RCA Victor Studio C.
