How to Track Custom Events with Google Analytics 4 (and Google Tag Manager)

Google Analytics 4 is an event-based analytics tool where everything is an event. A pageview, a purchase, etc.
There are 4 event groups in Google Analytics 4:
* Automatic Events
* Enhanced Measurement
* Recommended Events
* Custom Events

What can be a custom event in GA4? If you want to track an event that is not covered/.mentioned in the first 3 groups, you need to create a custom event. For example, form submission is a custom event (because there is no recommended event for that).
