Do you want to learn how to purl faster? Then trying continental purling. It's a super smooth technique that will allow you to speed up quite a bit. In this video, I will show you a couple of tricks to get even after. Plus there is a little section about combination knitting that could be a very viable alternative if continental purling doesn't work for you.

In the first part of this video, I'll talk about finding the right tension. Purling goes against the grain, so you absolutely need to make sure you tension the yarn in a way it makes it possible to pull the yarn through easily.
When it comes the continental purling the basic technique is rather simple, but it's not really fast. For speed purling, you need to guide the yarn with your left middle finger and push it forward as you pull through.
And then of course, it's very important that you use both hands and move along so you can pull the yarn through at the perfect angle. Only then, will you ever be able to truly purl faster.
