Welcome back to What’s For Tea :) Today I made Scottish fruit slice! Also known as Fly Cemetery or Fly Graveyard….perfect for Halloween!

This very popular tray bake can be found in most bakers and cafes across the country.

Very easy to make and such a simple recipe…if you use pre-rolled shop bought pastry sheets, you could whip this up in minutes :)

What I used (Makes 8 good sized squares)

For the shortcrust pastry;
300g (10.5 oz) Plain/all purpose flour
150g (5.2 oz) Cold butter - cubed
50g (1.7 oz) Icing/confectioners sugar
1 Egg - Beaten
For the filling-
2 Teaspoons mixed spice (or use your own blend using cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, ground clove, ground ginger & ground coriander)
100g (5.2 oz) Currants or sultanas
100g (5.2 oz) Raisins
75g (2.6 oz) Sugar
50g (1.7 oz) Soft butter
