Thrill Rides in Las Vegas | Whitney Bjerken

Whitney is a nominee for International Gymnast Magazine’s Gymnast of the Year! Whitney and her parents are in Las Vegas to attend the Gymnast of the Year Awards Banquet. Everyone is excited to have fun in Las Vegas and to see if Whitney will win.

In this video, Whitney and her mom first get their nails done in preparation for the big night. After that, it’s off to the Westgate Hotel to check in on the 2016 Brestyan’s Las Vegas Invitational gymnastics meet. Whitney was not competing in the meet, but she had fun watching the competition and she got to meet a few new friends. We also got to see Annie from Bratayley and Katie from Flippin’ Katie as they competed in the meet. Next, it was off to the Stratosphere Hotel, Casino, and Tower where we met up with Coach Ron. Coach Ron made a special trip to Las Vegas just to support Whitney and share in the experience of the Gymnast of the Year Awards. (If they had a Gymnastics Coach of the Year Award, Coach Ron would surely win…and Whitney would definitely go anywhere to see him honored.) Coach Ron’s fear of heights did not keep him from joining Whitney on top of 1,149 ft tower of the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino. Who knew that the top of a 1,149 ft tower was such a great place to put 3 of the scariest thrill rides on the planet. Big Shot at 1,081 ft is the highest thrill ride in the world! Insanity is the second highest thrill ride in the world, which dangles riders over the edge of the tower and then spins around at about 40 miles per hour. X-Scream is the third highest thrill ride in the world and propels you headfirst, 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower…866 ft above the ground!
Everyone had a blast! Then it was time to head back to our hotel in order to get ready for the big night! The trip is just getting started…stay tuned to see what happens next.
